MC Environmental

MC Environmental approached 1HUTCH looking to upgrade their non-transactional website to a fully functional Shopify site. They needed to give their customers the ability to split payments and check skip availability seamlessly. A key part of the project was integrating a booking system, allowing users to select skip delivery dates, durations, and even handle council permits. To enhance customer experience, they also required a comprehensive FAQ help centre to address common queries without the need for direct contact. Lastly, bespoke landing pages with detailed guides on skip sizes and the types of waste that can be included, ensuring a user-friendly and informative shopping journey needed to be included.

Shopify Migration

1HUTCH migrated MC Environmental from their outdated WordPress site to a fully transactional Shopify platform, transforming their online presence. This migration allowed for seamless online payments, including integration with payment providers like Laybuy, giving customers the option to split payments. The new Shopify site also included a booking system, enabling customers to select specific delivery dates for their skips, offering a more streamlined and convenient experience.

App Integrations

1HUTCH integrated several essential apps into MC Environmental's new Shopify site to enhance customer experience and streamline operations. We implemented a booking system that allows customers to select delivery dates, choose the skip duration, and even pay for council permits if needed. Given their service area, we also added a postcode checker to the product page, ensuring customers could verify if delivery was available in Newport, Cardiff, and Bristol. Additionally, we created a comprehensive FAQ Help Centre to reduce customer inquiries, allowing the team to focus on more critical tasks.

Bespoke Landing Pages

1HUTCH developed bespoke landing pages for MC Environmental to guide customers through the process of selecting the right skip. These pages provide detailed information on what type of waste can be disposed of in each skip, along with a sizing guide to help customers determine the correct skip size based on their waste volume (e.g., 8 bin bags = X size skip). By integrating pricing directly on these pages, customers can easily compare options and make informed decisions, ensuring they get the best value for their needs.
